Join us for an outdoor movie screening in Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden 24.9!
Since we started working on establishing the Initiative for a Safer Climate, we have embraced the fact that art can do something that scientific papers mostly don’t - it can touch people. Described as a ‘democratic art form’ by one of our members, movies have a particular way of touching and entertaining people of all ages, genders, nationalities, cultural and educational backgrounds, and so on. For these reasons and many others, we could not be happier to collaborate with the legendary Finnish movie festival Love and Anarchy!
The movie El Agua (2022), by Elena Lópes Riera, explores the themes of love, water and traditions in a magical realistic way. How do our surroundings effect our choices? We welcome you to join us for a special movie screening in Kaisaniemi Botanical Garden on September 24th at 9 pm. Tickets to the event and more information will be available shortly at hiff.fi.
Please note that the screening takes place outside in the garden, so prepare to bring warm clothes with you.
