Welcome to the first Climate Security Festival!
Finnish Meteorological Institute, Helsinki, Finland
21-22.9.2023
We invite you to create practical solutions and to take part in envisioning a safer climate for the future.
Please register for the event by filling in the electronic form by September 11, 2023. Confirmations will be sent to the selected participants after the application period ends.
The festival program is built around workshops, with the aim of strengthening and promoting collaboration between different sectors in an open and equal environment. The program also includes shared sessions for participants, keynote speeches (Emma Hakala, climate security researcher, Finnish Institute of International affairs & Michela Magas, founder of MTF Labs), a poster exhibition, art and side activities that spread the event across Helsinki.
The program and themes of the workshops will be finalized based on participants' preferences by early September, and participation in the planning working group is open to all interested parties. If you or your organization have suggestions for workshop topics or organizing accompanying activities, please contact us by August 31st.
On 21 September in the evening, we are honoring the UN International Day of Peace by organizing a special Peace, Love and Anarchy film screening and discussion event together with the Helsinki International Film Festival – Love & Anarchy.
