Safer Climate invites you to create practical solutions and to take part in envisioning a safer climate for the future at the second annual Climate Security Festival in Helsinki! The event takes place at the Finnish Meteorological Institute on September 19-20.9.2024. The theme of the festival 2024 is food security.
The festival’s aim is to strengthen and promote collaboration between different sectors in an open and equal environment. The program includes shared sessions for participants, keynote speeches, a poster exhibition, art and side activities that spread the event across Helsinki.
The festival is open and free for all, but registration is required. Register here no later 2.9.2024. The main language of the event is English.

The festival is organized by Safer Climate, based at the Helsinki University Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research (INAR).

This year’s festival is organized in collaboration with IHME Helsinki, a contemporary art commissioning agency that unites the worlds of art and science and offers hope amid the environmental crisis. On Saturday September 21st you can take part in the Maaleipä Challenge Award Ceremony that invites bake bread that nurtures people, soil, and sea.
