Find us at Think Africa Week 2022 on November 19th!
What do science, climate & comics have in common? Come find out next Saturday when we are joining the Think Africa Week 2022 final event, a cultural bazaar at Tiivistämö. Safer Climate is a proud partner and co-organizer of the week that is themed Shifting perspectives.
During the event, you can meet us among the other exhibitors and participants, learn more about our network and take part in a comic drawing workshop. You will also have a chance to get to some of the research equipment used in climate change related research. The workshop will held at 2 pm and 3 pm, but you are free to draw comics during the whole day. The day is full of family-friendly activities, and we hope that adults, youth and children alike will join the day and Safer Climate activities, and share their ideas. Hope to see you there!

“As immigrants living far away from home and raising kids in a foreign land like Finland, a society so diverse with its own culture and value system, it can be challenging having a sense of belonging and finding our identity.
This event brings together and celebrates diverse perspectives/voices to culture with regards to people of African descent living in Finland. The cultural bazaar provides an opportunity for participants (children, youths, and adults) to engage and deepen understanding of different aspects of African culture, and create awareness of and celebrate the rich cultures from African countries.”
